OmniDoc PDF Editor: Click Anywhere in a PDF and Type

Stop converting PDFs to Word to fix a typo. In OmniDoc 1.09 you click into a paragraph and type; fonts stay put and it saves in about a second.

Still fixing a PDF typo the long way? Convert to Word, fix the formatting, export again, notice the font changed, start over.

OmniDoc 1.09 cuts all of that: click anywhere in a PDF and type.

Click in, type, saved in about a second

Open the PDF, click into the sentence and type. Only the line you change moves; every other line keeps its font and size. The edit is written in about a second, and it is still the same PDF.

Click text while reading to edit it, or double-click a paragraph with any tool selected. No hunting for an edit button.

We measured it on a 13.6 MB, 19-page paper: first page on screen in 4 seconds, a paragraph edit written in about 0.8 seconds, saved in 0.06 seconds.

Sharp at every zoom level

Pages are drawn as vectors, so zooming never flashes white and small print stays crisp.

One PDF, eight Save As formats

Save as PDF, Word (keep the layout or get editable paragraphs), PowerPoint, Excel, PNG, JPG or HTML. PDF to Word and PowerPoint is more than twice as fast as before, and it runs on your own computer with no upload.

The toolkit legal and finance teams ask for

  • Text recognition for scans, on your computer or with OmniDoc online OCR
  • Compare two versions and see what changed
  • Redact by type, Bates numbering, certifying signatures and trusted timestamps
  • PDF/A conversion, one-click accessibility fixes and preflight
  • Measure distance, perimeter and area; form formats and calculations
  • N-up pages and booklets
  • Batch-process a whole folder of PDFs

Sign, fill forms and organize pages in one window

Draw, type or use an image for your signature, or sign with a certificate. Fill in forms or add new fields. Reorder, rotate, merge and split pages, redact for real, highlight, and add watermarks and page numbers.

Type equations and molecules straight into the PDF

Write LaTeX equations and chemfig structures in the PDF editor. They come out as vector graphics that stay sharp when you zoom.

Or just ask your AI

OmniDoc's AI interface (MCP) supports these PDF tools too. Connect a desktop AI app that speaks MCP, such as Claude Desktop or Cursor, say "change the date on page 3 to November 1", and it makes the edit on your computer. Check what the AI changed before you use it.

Free on Windows, macOS and Linux

Downloading, local editing and format conversion are free with no account. Online OCR, translation and signature requests need a sign-in.
